Worry – Pride and Humility
Do not fret. It’s our default but God tells us how to do what He requires in 37:1-8. Trust in the LORD. Do good (do the next right thing). Live within God’s borders (don’t be pushing to stray beyond the hedge He has around your life). Delight in Him knowing He is the source of…

Therefore, Pray
Matt. 6:8 For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him. . . Therefore, pray. My default would be to think therefore, I don’t need to ask. But our ways are not His ways. I think “therefore pray,” are going to be big words for me this year. In this…

SO THAT
This book of instruction must not depart from your mouth; you are to meditate on it day and night so that you may carefully observe everything written in it. For then you will prosper and succeed in whatever you do. Joshua 1:9 CSB Sharing what you meditate on helps you remember, helps you internalize, helps…

God Things
Had a reaction to my Covid shot on September 3. Felt bad for a couple of weeks and the fatigue remains still. I decided to give my schedule to God. I simply can’t figure out what to do and what not to do. It’s up to Him to bring opportunities to me or to cancel…

Rekindle Hope
This verse jumped out at me: Phil 1:29 – For to you, it has been granted on behalf of Christ, not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer for His sake. It’s been given – granted; on behalf of Christ – not only to believe (which I have consistently recognized as priority) but…

Pursuing, Diminishments, Unbearable
Pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance, and gentleness. I Tim. 6:11 When I read a verse like this it inspires me, and if I’m not intentional, I get busy doing my best. But the very next verse gives better direction. Vs. 12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which…

Something Else
Sometimes we are to give people opportunities to believe and repent – knowing they will not (Isa. Jer.) Obedience cannot be based on expected successful results. It’s so tempting to think we have misunderstood God when we step out in obedience and there are few to no results. We need to check and be as…

Aha Moments
January – cold, dark, gloomy, frozen pipes, dead car, lots of sickness in the family – BUT GOD has given me several Aha Moments on things I’ve been thinking about for a while. One was casting your care (I Peter 5:7). I was thinking that if I could do it, it would mean that the…

Partaker
The word partake stood out to me and I looked up several uses. 2 Cor. 1:7 Partakers of the sufferings and also the consolation Phil. 1:7 Partakers of grace Col. 1:12 Partakers of the inheritance Heb. 3:1 Partakers of the heavenly calling Heb. 3:14 Partakers of Christ Heb. 12:10 Partakers of His holiness 1 Pet.…

You Were Washed
But You Were Washed – Blog 18 There’s a story in Kings about Naaman the leper who was cleansed from his leprosy and his flesh became like the flesh of a child. That caused me, especially at this age, to think about how lovely that would be – and how complete that cleansing healing was.…
